表哥 (Biǎo Gē) Watch Brother
On August 30, 2012, a traffic accident in Yan’an, northern Shaanxi Province left 36 dead.
Yang Dacai, head of the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Work Safety, was photographed grinning broadly at the scene.
Subsequently, netizens conducted a human flesh search that unearthed a number of photographs showing Yang wearing expensive watches that he allegedly would not have been able to afford on his government salary.
Yang was removed from his position in September, 2012.
